#97. Bluebird Cafe

The Bluebird Cafe is one of Nashville’s best known venues for singer/songwriters. It is a small, unassuming space inside a strip mall in Green Hills. On Tuesday night, Christine, Meghan, and I made the short skip around the corner to see some fantastic young singer/songwriters. Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz, John Singleton, and Thad Cockrell performed to raise money for the American Cancer Society, put on by Music City Unsigned. Not only are all of these guys extremely talented, they are fun. They play off each other, while performing and while interacting. We sat towards the back in the pews (as opposed to a table), but there really isn’t a bad seat. The Bluebird Cafe is an intimate setting where you can get a glimpse of the genius behind the music.
